Health Information Tech
This is a full-time second shift Monday-Friday position working for us at Belmont Correctional Institution.
Minimum Qualifications -- 3 courses or 9 months experience in records management; 1 course or 3 months experience in medical terminology; 1 course or 3 months experience in typing.
Duties include -- Confidential maintenance and tracking of offender medical/mental health files in the institution inmate health and/or mental health services department; checks offender medical/mental health classification and note pending appointments; receives and timely files all pertinent offender medical documentation in the medical/mental health file; monitors the medical operating system and DOTS mental health screens and mental health treatment planner for offender medical/mental health reports; collects, enters and reports monthly medical/mental health data assigned; fax pertinent offender release information to adult parole authority; performs onsite and offsite offender appointment scheduling duties, notifies staff of necessary patient preparation, and monitors the Medical Operations Scheduling System (MOSS) for scheduled appointments; maintains a file/log of all offender appointments; performs other duties as assigned.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
