Job Description

Job Title: Contract Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Southeast Region

Normal Working Hours: 24 Hours Per Week

Reports To: Regional Director


Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for evaluating the needs and developing individualized treatment plans to include providing psychotherapy and medication evaluation and management to clients with behavioral health needs and those suffering from substance abuse problems.

  • Prescribe, direct, and/or administer psychotherapeutic treatments and/or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.

  • Collaborate with physicians, counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress to provide client with compassionate care.

  • Deliver services through tele-psychiatry as necessary.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Electronic Health Record (EHR).

  • Master's degree in nursing; a program that includes psychiatric care preferred.

  • Must be licensed as APRN; PMHNP or similar endorsement preferred.

  • At least three years of experience working with young adult population; at least two years working with young adults with behavioral issues preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and organization/time management skills.

  • Must possess valid Driver's License and maintain a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance.

  • Must be willing to travel to each office within region at least once per month.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
